You may be familiar with the program—Homeowners who meet certain income criteria can apply with their neighborhood community centers for HUD money to help them fix up their home. The work could be just about anything—roofing, siding, new furnace, front porch steps, painting, drywall, lead abatement—like I said, anything.
The money could be a loan or it might be a grant, but it is coming from the government so the neighborhood center facilitates the process. They are responsible for bidding the work out, overseeing it for quality assurance, and signing off on contractor payments.
As of today we have 44 of these projects bid. Of course we have no way of knowing how many we will win, but I think it’s safe to say it will be enough to kick off the season.
I need to hire another Project Manager to manage these projects.
