We’ve just built a new 12,000 sq ft shop and are looking for additional Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanics. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks and repairs on company owned equipment. The fleet primarily consists of Class 8 dump trucks and concrete mixer trucks. Equipment also involves some pickup trucks and various other construction tools.
Our Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanics should be able to perform the following tasks:
—Basic preventative maintenance tasks on heavy trucks including but not limited to; greasing, oil changes and brake adjustments
—Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues (brakes, suspension, fuel system, lighting, etc.)
—Drive trucks to outside vendors for major repairs
—Work with the other members of the shop and maintenance team
—Identify and diagnose problems with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
—Maintain and repair concrete conveyors
—Clean CDL license is required, Class A preferred, may train a qualified person to obtain CDL
—Small tools must be brought to perform daily activities (we will supply major tools)
—Experience working on air brakes, hydraulic systems, strong electrical troubleshooting ability, heavy equipment
Work Experience: Prefer someone with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. We would be willing to substitute other skills or abilities in lieu of documented work experience.
Most work will be done in a maintenance shop environment but may occasionally require the performance of roadside breakdown work.
Education: No degree required. Prior work experience and skills are sufficient.
